Established by Dr. Sandra Cummings in 2001, the practice has consistently grown, now employing seven MSc-level audiologists who provide comprehensive diagnostic audiology services. Beacon Audiology specialises in paediatric audiology, adult diagnostic assessments, vestibular assessments, auditory processing disorder assessment and intervention, tinnitus evaluation and management, as well as electrophysiological testing.
Beacon Audiology has an extensive referral network with referrals from ear nose & throat consultants, GPs, neurologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists and professionals in educational settings.

Beacon Audiology is expanding its presence across Ireland, with Cork becoming the first location outside Dublin. Beacon Audiology is pleased to announce the establishment of a joint clinic in City Gate, Cork, in collaboration with Wellington Eye Clinic. This partnership is designed to provide comprehensive dual senses expertise to patients, recognising the importance of both hearing and vision in supporting overall cognitive health. Since its founding in 1980, Wellington Eye Clinic has assisted more than 70,000 individuals in enhancing their vision.
The clinic features a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, optometrists, and diagnostic specialists who work together within a single facility. It remains a family-operated, surgeon-led practice known for setting the benchmark in vision correction eye surgery in Dublin and throughout Ireland, distinguished by its commitment to precision, individualised care, and more than 40 years of trusted service. Through this collaboration, Wellington Eye Clinic and Beacon Audiology will offer patients in Cork integrated dual senses evaluations, addressing both hearing and visual requirements. Consultations will be available beginning in late summer 2026.

Keagan has worked at a number of Irish technology companies, from high-growth startups to market-leading organizations. Keagan also completed the Business & Leadership Skills Programme for the Healthcare Sector from UCD Smurfit Business Graduate School in 2023.

We are also pleased to welcome Cliona Murray as our new Clinic Administrator. Cliona has extensive experience as a clinic co-ordinator and administrator in both clinical and hospital settings. In addition Cliona has a diploma in Montessori Teaching 0-6 years. Cliona joins Nuala and Allyson who manage the front desk and reception at Beacon Audiology.

Beacon Audiology is proud to have been selected as a provider for the Tinnitus Pro App
Neurotone AI’s Tinnitus Pro is a patient-led app providing personalised, research-based tinnitus therapy, combining sound therapy, AI-powered tone matching, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) tools. Designed with hearing experts, it helps users habituate to and manage tinnitus.
Access to the app and its availability require initial enablement by Beacon Audiology.
Key features of Tinnitus Pro:
Personalised Sound Therapy: Features four modes (habituation, adaptation, relief, and sleep) with customisable soundscapes, including Notch Noise Therapy.
Therapeutic Tone Finder: Identifies the specific sound of the user’s tinnitus to create personalised treatment.
CBT & Counselling: Integrates educational resources, mindfulness, and meditation tools to reduce distress and change the emotional response to tinnitus.
Provider Connectivity: The audiologist is able to access the portal to monitor patient progress via data from the app.
